working with me
ACC Renewal, PCC or MCC Mentor Coaching
‘A rich, individualised learning experience focusing on preparing you for the ICF’s credentialling process in a way that allows you to be at your best when working with clients’
Why Mentor Coaching
When I first embarked on mentor coaching, I was a bit sceptical. It felt like a professional commitment, a necessary step to obtain my PCC. However, it was one of the most enriching parts of my coaching education. Mentor coaching wasn’t just about meeting a professional standard; it was a personal learning opportunity that built confidence in my coaching offer and developing professionally. Mentor coaching encouraged me to view my practice from a new perspective and significantly enhanced the quality of my coaching.
What is Mentor Coaching
The ICF website defines mentor coaching as a collaborative and appreciative process. It involves coaching and feedback based on an observed or recorded coaching session. This process is designed to enhance your coaching capability, which aligns with the ICF Core Competencies.
The mentor coach sessions are designed to provide in-depth feedback on your coaching, all based on the ICF core competencies.
The primary purpose is to offer you the necessary support and guidance in achieving and demonstrating the levels of coaching competency and capability demanded by the desired credential level.
Mentor Coaching takes place over several months (three months minimum) in a cycle that encourages reflection and practice. This allows the mentor coach to listen and provide feedback while enabling you to reflect and implement your learning.
Mentor Coach Duties provides more information on a mentor coach’s duties and expectations.
A Unique Approach to Mentor Coaching
While mentor coaching is about supporting you in building your core coaching skills, I don’t believe there is one way to deliver quality coaching. This has resulted in an approach to mentor coaching that acknowledges your unique coaching offer. It has been developed through:
- 10+ years of mentor coach experience
- Successfully mentoring coaches ACC PCC and MCC
- Incorporating learning from:
- PCC assessor training,
- ACC BARS training
- MCC BARS training
As part of the programme, you will also work with Sara Barrie MCC. This gives you the opportunity to receive feedback on your coaching from different perspectives.
The starting point is to have a conversation to understand your coaching approach and unique working methods. We will then agree on a programme designed to address your specific developmental needs and provide confidence in submitting for an ICF credential.
Investment
ACC renewal or PCC mentor coaching is £200/hr or £1800.00 for a programme of ten sessions
MCC Mentor Coaching: I don’t offer a programme of sessions at this level. We will agree on a fee based on your client rate and what is realistic for both of us,
Elizabeth is truly an amazing mentor coach. From the beginning, she was invested in my success as a mentee. With her knowledge, compassion, and care, she encouraged and motivated me to learn about my coaching strengths. Through guidance and constructive feedback, she helped me discover how I could be a better coach. Elizabeth has empowered me to develop my strengths, beliefs, and personal attributes as a coach. She was a dedicated partner on my path to the ICF MCC accreditation. I looked forward to every opportunity to work with her. Thank you for your partnership, Elizabeth!”
Dr. Maryam Bigdeli MCC Executive Coach
I have worked with Elizabeth over the past six years, from completing my initial coach training to supporting my PCC application. Elizabeth is an expert coach, finely tuned to the nuances that make a difference when working with clients. She places an invaluable emphasis on the “who”, enabling the “what” to follow in a way that suits and flows with the exploration.
Working with Elizabeth as a mentor has been hugely beneficial to my development as a coach. By celebrating unique strengths and exploring areas of opportunity, Elizabeth instils confidence while enabling skills advancement. It has been invaluable working with Elizabeth I have developed both personally and professionally, feeling supported yet challenged in equally useful ways.

Elizabeth has coached and mentored me through my ICF ACC journey. She has been an incredible support. Her feedback and observations have helped me reflect on and develop my coaching practice. She is professional and passionate about doing the right thing. She has thought outside the box to enable me to access further development and has encouraged me to access CPPD, which has added value to my practice and opened my learning mindset.
